Good weekend at da Gunks. I'm out of shape because I couldn't pull as many harder (for me) routes as I would have liked to, but did well on a couple of routes. I think I'm also getting (am?) sick, which I'm sure didn't help matters)

Got on a couple lines I've never done before, which is always fun, and back to a couple lines I've been meaning to lead. Fell at the top of the one, should have lunged for the finishing jug but I pumped out trying to reach for it instead.

name some rowtz!

Got on Art's Route and Appoplexy as new routes. I got on Wegetables last spring with Nathan but bailed when I coudn't commit to the opening moves with one crappy nut between me and the ground. He found some tall man gear beta at the start that I was able to use at the start and was convinced to try it again. While I remembered some of the betas, obviously it was not enough on account that I fell at the end.

Also, my friend John led Red Cabage and did an awesome job on it for one of his first 5.9s. Also, we did some of the easier classics because he had never been on them before. Got photos of him on CCK and then on the rap we decided to walk over on the GT ledge and do the money pitch of High E. Great pitch, but generally not worth the price of admission.

Followed red cabbage one of my first trips out there. had no idea how to carck climb, but somehow managed to get up it. short, but fun, from what I remember. not a lot of pro after you turn the corner, but it's low angle and easy?

I TRed Red Cabage a few years ago. It was actually quite a bit harder if you tried to climb it like a crack IMO.

Not too slabby with a bulge at the top where you run out of pro. He got in a couple small nuts at the top of the crack before pulling the buldge and turing the corner so it was fairly safe, but a bit pumpy when placing the pro.

I could take a picture of some of my peppers or beets, but I am not sure where my camera is.

you could go climbing and tell us about it.

or stop being a hippy and go verbally abuse some people?
I went climbing yesterday. I was rather hungover from the wedding the previous night, and climbed like shit.

hopefully you verbally abused some people while drunk at the weeding?
I'm verbally abusing this ptftw

I've been verbally abusing more people lately. People just need to get called on shit I think. Like the douche talking on the phone in the sushi restaurant. When did this become ok? And the guy on the bike last week who wants to turn left at the light but instead wobbles around for a while in the go-straight lane rather than moving into the go-left lane. I want to go straight. I am tired of watching you wobble like a fucking retard. I blow my horn right behind you. You just about fall off the bike and turn to shout at me. I pull up next to you and say "you're a fucking embarrassment! you give bikers a bad name!". "Fuck you!" you say? "No, Fuck you!" Then the guy on Tuesday as I'm walking to a restaurant in the old port who watches his dog take a shit and walks away. "Nice job cleaning up after your dog". What's that? Your dog has the runs? Just because you don't like what is coming out of your dog's ass that excuses you from picking it up?

I probably should go back to rugby. The tango has me all pent up.

ha ha!! Good stuff. You should probably go fight a rock climb or something.

I yelled at a rollerblader yesterday. It was way lame. This scrawny guy shows up and starts jumping and grinding the masonry sidewall on some stairs 2 buildings down from mine. And he has a pack of 8 ballcuppers! No shit, 3 of them had cameras and 5 were just loosers watching him and telling him how great he was.

but he was wrecking my neighbors little wall! So I went over, told he sucked, told him no one respected rollerblading because it was too fucking easy. 8 guys in their 20s, all they could do was mumble that I was an asshole. They all crammed into one minivan and left. It was pathetic.

We are all slowly turning into Jak.

Shit, inane epic this afternoon. So, yesterday at the carg, because I don't know how electric doors on cars work, I accidentally pushed the lock button on the driver's side door of dribble's car manually, and so it decided just to stay locked. Pain in the ass, we had to both get out of the passenger side door the whole way home.

Then, this afternoon, got out to my truck to go shopping, and it was dead. Fuck. Not sure why, I just replaced the battery last week. Nobody I know in the complex to gimme a jump, so I hopped on my bike to ride to dribble's work and grab her car there. it rained the whole time, I was soaked.

Got to the CRV, and it was dead. Turns out that, while getting out of the awkward passenger side door, dribble accidentally left the headlights on. Sat around for two hours waiting for a cop to come give me a jump. Went home, jumped my truck, took it to the shop, found out it was a loose battery cable. No biggie, I needed a service anyway.

That is awl.

It seemed whey more epic than it sounds right now at the time.

You could have used the time to read the owner's manual. :) But instead, I am sure, you found a history book.

derp. Although I was really just agreeing with him.

Anyway, I've been experimenting the last couple weeks with antihydral cream. The stuff makes your hands stop sweating! Feet too. So far I've been pretty careful to keep it off my tips though. My skin feels dry and papery and the loyerette hates it!!

I'd say it's cut down sweat by 80%!

If you google 'foosball antihydral' you can find it... and you have to apply it a couple hours ahead of time but then it goes for a couple days.

Brief feelgood update:
Skool started, ergo my limited presence and lack of free time. Also, the 5.4 crimpy limestone around the bozone has not been inspiring me spiritually nor ecumenically, and therefore I have not been excited to climb much besides moderate tard, as xzzzz is too far away for a two day trip. That, and several of the climbing areas are either on fire or quite smoky or closed due to fire containment. I'm working on gaining weight and projecting 5.8 trad to fit in, but the high caffeine intake and malnutrition of skool is keeping me from being too blorty.

Much nice hiking recently. Pablo did a soggy chossy fourth class downscramble with us on our last trip, and we teabagged a 12,000'er because it was there and the weather looked cooperative. Completely unplanned. No meatbombzing of the boy scout trail either However, the dog did not want to walk for two days afterwards. He is on some rad injectable glucosamine shit that works wonders.

Might go attempt some more mountaineering stuff in a week or so. Trying to figure out a pair of boots that is crampon compatible and also not fifty fucking pounds.

PG is out of town for the weekend, so I get to drink cheap beer and shirtcock while studying. Whoo!

Whoo!

I fly to michigan in about 6 hours. that's almost ohio. intend to drink a lot at the weeding, while also trying to keep down the blort.

planning on yosemite (either the valley or tuolumne) next weke end with the brit, before he leaves town the following weke end.

Aren't those habits what attracted her to you in the first place?

Have you considered staying in one of the Curry tent cabins? You'll sleep better and climb harder.
