Got a PT... not a huge win... more like a fail to be talking to myself this long.

Just got back from watching Cat Power at the 930 club. Was a good show. The openers were interesting and she, although a bit of a quirky weirdo on stage, was really good as well.

I'm still sorting out other hikes in my mind to figure this one out. Did some climbing on Friday, too. Overall, I'm worked. I'm guessing its now checked off. We hiked about 1/2 mile up the narrows from the end of the river trail this summer. Very cool. Someday must due the top down. When the boys get a little older. Congrats. Yes. I can imagine doing it with the kids during the summer when the water is warmer and less flow. Overall it wasn't a hard hike at all. Much easier going with the flow of water than against. There isnt' a single difficult section to it. Just the length, and we made great time on the hike. In retrospect it wouldn't have been an issue to do it in a day, but I am really happy we did it in two. The better parts are in the upper half, with really narrow canyons and the taller walls. If you didn't make it to Wall Street, then you missed out on the better part of the bottom-up hike.

Gmburns2000 wrote: notapplicable wrote: When was this institution founded anyway? Are we on gen 2 or 3 at this point? I gotta think about this. I figure Gen 1 was the original when we had visits from those other guys quite a bit. That probably ended with sunny's mirror trick that I think the mods were secretly happy to have to make him to time, so to speak. Or maybe it ended with Sty's passing. Gen 2 probably includes that period with wolfie and includes the time when Aeiouandsometimesyrian's lady poked needles into Jack's doll. Gen 3 includes Wesley and Spike and Lazlo, none of whom pop in that much anymore (laz is somewhat of an exception). Gen 4 is probably now, but since Sunny rarely pops in these days (and he's not even studying anymore, so like, WTF?) I bet we're seeing a sunset on that. I dunno, are we birthing Gen 5? Do I want to ask that in that way? I'm thinking no. I don't recall how many iterations of this thread there are. Many, many posts.

I just put in a bid on a Toyota Tundra and an RV trailer, woo! The bargaining power of cash payments is redonculous. I will find out tomorrow if I have a new vehicle for when I get my license back in 2 months, and a home for the homeless once we begin our x-c trip next Spring. I can't wait to get the trailer home and pimp it out! If this RV's a rockin', don't come a knockin'.

I lifted the ban, offered a standard policy explanation, and subsequently locked the thread as the matter is closed with explanations.
