Just got back from watching Cat Power at the 930 club. Was a good show. The openers were interesting and she, although a bit of a quirky weirdo on stage, was really good as well.

I can imagine doing it with the kids during the summer when the water is warmer and less flow. Overall it wasn't a hard hike at all. Much easier going with the flow of water than against. There isnt' a single difficult section to it. Just the length, and we made great time on the hike. In retrospect it wouldn't have been an issue to do it in a day, but I am really happy we did it in two.
The better parts are in the upper half, with really narrow canyons and the taller walls. If you didn't make it to Wall Street, then you missed out on the better part of the bottom-up hike.

I just put in a bid on a Toyota Tundra and an RV trailer, woo!
The bargaining power of cash payments is redonculous. I will find out tomorrow if I have a new vehicle for when I get my license back in 2 months, and a home for the homeless once we begin our x-c trip next Spring.
I can't wait to get the trailer home and pimp it out! If this RV's a rockin', don't come a knockin'.
