Normally no songs until a particular member of my climbing group's phone rings, and then "It's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights. It's time to meet the muppets on the muppet show tonight." AND IT DRIVES ME ****ING NUTS! AND I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD........... oh now it's in my head again :(

Steve Kimock band all the way! As most of their songs that i've heard are 20 minute jams, its not hard to get the main theme of the song stuck in your head, but if it is, you wont be complaining. Look them up: http://www.kimock.com/ Also phish seems to get stuck in my head a lot.

I hear whatever was the last few songs on the radio. EXCEPT, you kow that part in the climb when you are totally exhausted, your muscles are shaking and the next move is the "monkey" power move? The kind where, if you listen to the muscles in your arms they are saying, yeah freakin right am I going to pull this! I force myself to start singing BLACK SABATH songs right then--> a lilttle Iron Man!. They tend to get my adrenalin going enough to get me through that move K

Barefoot Nellie - My dad used to sing it to me when I was little; Its bluegrass, and I always think of it for some reason. -R. 8) "Nellie put on her Sundy dress, Hopin' she would look her best. Made out of an old feed sack, Hog Feet wrote right on the back. Hey barefoot nellie, ho barefoot nellie, Hey barefoot nellie, you're the one for me.

Zepplin goes with climbing like Beer goes with pizza (yeah, I'm no sophisticate). I always seem to think of "Black Dog". Or possibly Nirvana's "All Apologies"

There's one that always pops in when I'm scared on a FA, hanging from a hook at Owens or drilling a 1/4" from stance - Weird Al's "Dare to be Stupid" - especially one little part - ... Bite off more than you can chew, What can you do? Dare to be stupid! Another part is perfect to help answer the ever-present question "What the f___ am I doing on this climb?": Settle down raise a family join the PTA Buy some sensible shoes and a Chevrolet Then party 'til you're broke and they drive you away It's OK, you can dare to be stupid!

I had Green Day's "Stuart and the Avenue" in my head all day Sunday climbing at NJC. Destiny is dead In the hands of back luck Before it might have made some sense But now it's all f*'ed up.
