What are the sub-units used on this site for Long and Lat? It looks like it's not minutes and seconds, but just fractions of degrees (tenth, hundredth, thousandth...).
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yep, tenths of a degree.

Paradise Forks, in northern Arizona, is one example.

You can enter the given GPS coordinates into a conversion utility on the web and it will change them over to DD/MM/SS or UTM. Alternatively, many handheld GPS units will allow you to switch over to a different system.

Topo Zone is one such conversion utility:

On the menu bar at top left, you see the different options.

I'm using google earth that I just downloaded. I already spent 4 hours traveling over Chamonix... so exciting!

yes, theyre fractions of degrees. you can convert them using some math...

start with seconds and divide them with 60. now youve got the fraction of the minute of arch. then add that to the minutes and divite with 60. now you have the fraction of degrees. enter the value.

or if you have a calculator that allows you to convert it, just use that.
