Whilst bouldering outdoors I slipped and landed on my left foot it hurt like hell but I thought it wasnt to bad then I fell again!!!
The doc says I've ripped a muscle above my third metatasle (met-a-tar-sol I cant spell it!!) he also say i need to rest take pain killers walk a bit and massage it.

has anyone got any advice for a speedy recovery because I'm going snowboarding on the 29th of december and if this stops me I will be pissed!!

If you want to pay for the injury long-term, go snowboarding. You'll have complications for the rest of your life, and as you get older, things will continue to get worse. Sorry to sound harsh, but it's the truth.

There will be other snowboarding trips. Take care of your body.

Sorry but, Kate is right. You are best off staying home from the snowboarding trip. I know it will be a bummer but there is no way that you want this injury to be life long.

I suggest you stick to the docs orders and take it easy until it is back to 100%.

t6he only way to treat a torn muscle like that is to let it heal back together, like you, I tore a muscle once ('91, Left leg bicep, waterskiing) like a dope I didn't give it the couple months it needed to REALLY heal, and now I have a noticable void down the center of the back of my left leg.

it took TEN YEARS, before I could get that leg to perform equal with the other...
don't be a sap, or a macho man, stay off the foot. The Dr. is right.

BTWm, it's "metatarsal"
