Hey all so, I've got a week long climbing trip in the Red coming up. This'll be my first week-long climbing trip, and my main concern is the endurance of my hand-skin. I've got a climb-on bar, and love it. It's worked great before, keeping my skin alive on a weekend of granite-bouldering, and I use it after harder days in the gym. But will Climb-on and tape be enough for my hands to last the week in the Red? Any advice for keeping your skin alive in the long term?

i prefer jtree salve, but rest days and easing into your trip is more important. dont go balls to the wall right from the start. first day, take it easy, just warm up, second day, warm up, get on some tougher stuff, third day, bust loose and go for it. fourth day, rest day! days 5-7 should look like days 1-3. thats basically what i did @ the red for three weeks this past fall and it worked great. i also found that the red really isnt too tough on your skin- the holds are nice and friendly there.
