Just wanted to let everyone know that I have recouped from my devistating loss. I had all my climbing stuff jacked out of my car at the end of the summer. About $800 worth of gear and sunglasses. Stolen from BYU Marriot center parking lot. Well, today I made my first perchase. Harness, atc, biner, chalk and bag. I also have another biner and some webbing. This is a lame message but I am excited to tell everone.

LAME? NO WAY!
I unpack my kit every now and then just to look at my gear.
Sorry for your loss and I hope you get all you need soon, and I hope your stolen gear lets the bastard that stole it fall a grade 2 fall twice over.
Just updated my gear's insurance value this morning...

I know exactly how you feel mate. I had all my climbing gear flogged too not long ago. The theif must have really wanted it cause he stole my whole 4wd to get at it. I got the vehicle back a week later but I'm still lamenting the loss of my beloved Petzl Guru harness. Don't make them any more unfortunatly. Overall I came out on top though, cause I had a very ignorant insurance company and a very cooperative climbing shop to deal with.
