I finished leadnig an easy route at the gym. As I was clipping the lowering biner, I was standing on my left foot, reaching out with my right hand to clip. Suddenly I felft a little POP! in my big toe and it sorta went numb. Didn't hurt to bend it, just all pins and needly. This better go away soon and never come back. Hurting my confidence more than anything.... Anyone else get this?

Pinched nerve maybe? I cut through a nerve in my thumb. It was numb for a few months, but now its almost back to normal. I never saw a doc. Maybe you should.

Both of my large toes are numb on the outside bottom and edge. Talked to my doctor about it and he think, based on the area of the numbness, that it is due to nerve damage. Been that way now for about a year but doesn't seem to affect my climbing. I just wrote it off as something that just happens to climbers.

Well it turns out that I`ve snapped a ligament in my big toe. The one that stops your big toe from bending inward towards your other toes. I`ve forgotten what it's called. :( :x The good news is that these ligaments develop scar tissue which should give it some strength again. I seem to have an issue with the strength of my ligaments....crap
