3 guys from germany made a device which is called TRE now i am happy to have it in my hands and i am more happy to use it when i am climbing...it has the same price of gri gri but believe it can do more than that ...its weight is 150 almost the weight of an 8 . you can use it for belaying the leader the second or the seconds and rapel with out using anything for brake when the first or the second takes a fall it blocks automaticaly and you can use it for 7.5 to 11 ropes!!! TRE device rules..... http://www.rockclimbing.com/photos.php?Status=P take a look of this pic or http://www.tre-pfullingen.de/ but you have to speak german or have a translate machine... if you have any questions message me... (sorry for my english) ****keep touching the sky**** s.

What material is it made from? The picture almost looks like it's plastic. Can you get them in the U.S.?

Looks cool but the Gri-Gri is the only device I'll use while sleeping and belaying (something bigwallers will actually do), and I don't think you can solo with that thing and I can with my Gri-Gri. The TRE looks way cooler than a reverso but IMHO not nearly as good as the Gri-Gri! Thank you for bringing it to our attention! And your english is as good or better than many of our users who use it as their first language! Jeff
