as opposed to when you are sober. got to thinking about this last night as i was putting down my thir..fourth beer. 'they' say it tells alot about who you are on the inside. pulls back the curtain, so to speak.
so i'm interested to hear from some of the regulars in the communtiy cesspool. are you a mean drunk? a happy drunk? or even worse... a horny drunk? louder? quieter? drunk dialer?

realistically it depends on what I'm drinking...Rye Whiskey, I'm a happy drunk, until i go over the line and get really wasted, then I turn nasty, not mean, just nasty.
Rum...don't say anything cross to me when I'm drunk on rum, i don't drink it for a reason, I become very violent and will hit just about anything or anyone. Haven't drank it in over 10 yrs
beer, well according to the people I'm around when I'm smashed on beer. if everyone is having a good time, I'm havin a good time, if people want to scrap, I'll scrap.
Generally though I don't go over the line of wastedness. I like to get a healthy buzz on, but very very rarely will i go over the line...it all boils down to the fact that I'm a real asshole when I'm pissed

I don't overindulge too often, but when I do, I'm a happy loving drunk - everyone gets a hug! And most people will learn that I Loooooooovvvveeeee them!
When everyone around has had their hug, I start drunken dialing. Even worse, I go home and start the drunken emailing. I hate waking up the next day and having to check out my 'sent items' folder to see what I've done!

I too hardly ever get "sloshed"... but the few times I have I become a very... um, friendly person.
Too bad I'm too gone to remember much of it the next day.

well - this is interesting -
When I drink and eventually become drunk it is nice because - I become much better looking,
more intelligent,
a lot strong and tougher,
and just more fun to be around!
If I drink until I do get wrecked - I have this amazing power - I become invisable AND completely silent -

Yup, also depends on the event and/or environment. Aside from the holidays (and even then) it's rare that I drink much less get drunk. I do like my wine, but rarely over-induldge so-to-speak.
Anyhoo - "answer the question, jen" yes yes...
Not that much different from my regular sober self --- I'm still outgoing and gregarious....

ok, an addendum to my question. let's think more along the lines of really buzzed, than absolutely crushed. basically, when your inhibitions are owered or erased. who comes out of the shell?
personally, if i drink alone, i become even more melancholy and introspective than usual... if that is possible.
however, if i am around people i lighten up a bit, and i'm totally hilarious. at least i think i'm totally hilarious.

skibibs, I'm with you, the red wine gets me sloshed every time! I love it so much, the taste that is - and before I know it I've had 3 glasses and am all giddy and laughing. I get babbly when I'm drunk, silly and stuff.
However, drunk on tequila - helluva mean drunk and rarely to I ever have more than 1 margarita because of it. I'll fly off the handle, punch guys in the nuts, scream at random people I don't know.... scary :shock:

Alkehol makes me come out of my shell. Those of you who really know me, you know it's there. I'm a loud mouth but I'm shy as hell. Alkehol helps me to lose the inhabitions a bit. Tokilya is the best for that!

If I just have a good buzz going, nothing much different. But if I am just toasted beyond anything else, I am so much more outwardly horney then I am when I'm sober. If you can believe that. :shock: I get really touchy feely whereas, when I am sober, I would just rather not have to touch people or vice versa. Oh, and I have an inclination to dance and sing, which are both the most horrible thing that you have ever seen. Damn tables, I have a hard time finding one that doesn't wobble.

yup........i LOVE everyone when i'm on a bender.......and have been known to do the drunken call or email! Vodka/redbull makes me out of control.............red wine makes me sloppy, but fun...........and the combination of ahem, smoke and drink just puts me out. Dont' do both at the same time.
i never get drunk on scotch cause i love the stuff too much to over indulge.

I prefer to get smashed, legless, blootered, gubbered, blazing or if at all possible hammered, but if all else fails I'll simply get fall-down, knee-walking, bed-wetting drunk.
But not sloshed. It's just not dignified.

I don't get sloshed.

when i am completely sloshed, i am the same as when i'm sober.
few exceptions
1) i'm a bit sleepier
2) i don't want to drive
3) if you walk up on me outside while i am peeing, i will turn and pee on your shoe. (don't get in peeing range then...)
4) much easier to get into my dancing shoes.

I don't like to reveal my deep down emotions much (that includes love, hate, etc), so that's the inhibition that goes with me. I'm fairly self reflective, so I usually think what a "special" time in my life with these people I'm having and tell them so. I don't think I'm much different aside from that.
