In reply to: Edge's wife massaging my back while we watch an old movie on TV  This actually explains alot. She mentioned something about meeting a Minute Man; I had just assumed that she meant a Revolutionary War re-enactor.

The oh-so-satisfying crunch of my enemies neck. The sound of a high speed automobile accident. The taste of a freshly plucked eyeball.

In reply to: "To see your enemies crushed before you and to hear the lamentations of their women."

In reply to: Bumblie and wideguy.... God bless your wives! How did the two of you end up with such good lookin kids? A) my wife is hot. B) They may not be mine. But they call me dad so I figure it counts. Edge, can I get that number. I'll need it in 12 or 13 yrs too.

From last night's commute: The way your elbow vibrates from the awe inspiring bass line emitted from the door mounted car door speaker. Maybe you had to be there, I dunno.

- mountains - ocean breezes - puppies (or all dogs for that matter) - powder days - complete physical exhaustion after a hard day climbing - the color orange - sunshine - friends you can not speak to for a long time, but pick up right where you left off when you do - springtime (the smells and the fact that everything is blooming & so lush & green) - smell of fresh cut grass

Paolo, your kids are adorable! Running a sub 21-second 200 meters- and not puking immediately afterwards. Has only happened twice. Hitting my split times on a tough interval day at practice. Getting to the top of a brutal hill on a long bike ride, then going downhill. A cold shower after a hot day at track practice. A baby's smile. An ice cold beer after climbing on a hot day. Corona is especially refreshing. With lime. A hug from someone I care about. Carving a perfect run on fresh powder. Listening to "Imperfection" by Skillet. Getting to hang out with my favorite bands- twice. Hearing coach tell me "You're running real strong this year. Keep it up, and you can be an All-American again. Or a National Champion." Sinking a bomber #1 camalot after a long runout. How the sex just keeps getting better and better, even after being together for a long time. http://rockclimbing.com/...n=Show&PhotoID=38895 EDIT: apparently the pic of my dogs isn't working, God knows why. A smile on a friend's face that says they're excited to see you too. Sharing a look with a friend when you both share an inside joke. Waking up in the morning to feel someone put their arm around you. Really good, deep kisses. Onsighting a route--not only clean, but with the technique you've been striving for.

1. Taking that quivering caffeine induced dump at the end of pitch eight that I had been holding since pitch three. 2. Using my brothers favorite sling to clean up afterwards.

You can't beat coming around the corner into Squamish with the full on view of Garibaldi and the Chief ... still guaranteed to replace any bad feelings with a sudden sense of awe. Dave

The MASS CLIMBERS slideshow gathering at Tcollin's (& Caryn's) house, last saturday night, including massive overtraining on his bouldering cave, until about 12:30 am. I hurt all over. riding around sunday afternoon with my oldest daughter (learner's permit) getting coffee at dunkin's driving around, talking about life, the family, bands... getting cable back at my apartment, and my son joking, "Great, Dad! Now I can tell my friends that you're not lame! Just kidding, Dad. You're still lame." ;-) Bringing middle daughter $5 at her best freind's house, so she can go to the cheerleading comp in Boston, and support the varsity cheerleading team, one of her other friends is on.
