they have a great, specific search engine for the site.

Can anyone recommend a good studio in or around Littleton? I'm looking for something for myself as well as my boys. Both of them have done yoga with me and I think it would be fun to do this with them as well as on my own.

padge, do be careful doing yoga if recovering from a back injury - it can worsen it depending on the type of yoga and type of injury you have. I went to a yoga class once when I had a pinched sciatic nerve in my back, thinking the yoga would help - it definately worsened the problem even with modified poses. Just be careful and don't go past your limit.
Yoga is a great great tool, and I do it along with pilates almost daily, so long as my back is better! Which is has been for over a year - but it's focus is on sustained strength and stretching throughout the muscles, and so if you are on recovery from a back injury, it can do harm rather than good. You may want to check with your doctor or with a yoga instructor about what your limits are there.

anyone interested can usually find a studio or instructor through here:

For practice at home I've used http://www.yogabasics.com. I haven't signed up for their full site access, I keep thinking that it would be great to have access to all their pose sequences. But they do list all the individual poses with benifits, modifications and contradictions. If you have physical constraints then a small class where the instructor knows you could help. They can keep you in mind and suggest modifications during the session to accomadate you.

Poses before climbing.....I like running through a few sun salutations for a good warm up and then I really concentrate on problem areas for me (esp hamstrings). I'm not sure what would be particularly climbing specific.

For what its worth, you can't have a pinched sciatic nerve in your back. Your sciatic nerve orginates in your gluteal region, off the lumbosacral plexus. You can however, have a neuropathy of a nerve root in your lower back that causes symptoms along the distribution of the sciatic nerve.

OK, I'm done geeking out. (I am studying anatomy this weekend instead of being outside enjoying the gorgeous sunshine.)

I've been practing Ashtanga yoga for about a year now. The flexiblitly really helps my climbing. Before climbing I would say do any postures that 'opne you up.' And do poses for each side of your body.
