Need climbers for movie shoot at Stoney Point in Chatsworth. Hi everyone, We’re filming a very low budget indy film. It’s a romantic comedy called Quit!. We’re in need of some experienced climbers with gear (including repelling gear). We’re looking to shoot on Wednesday, July 6th. Although it is a no pay gig, everyone will get a screen credit and lunch. It’ll be a fun shoot with a lot of funny gags. We have high hopes that we’ll get into some major festivals. So far so good. If you, or anyone you know might be interested please contact me. Hope to hear from some folks. Best regards, James Smith moderncitizen@sbcglobal.net Quit The Movie

Hey James, A group of us climb at Stoney every tuesday after work. There are usually between 6 and 10 of us. We arrive at 5:00 or so and climb until dark and have the Topropes set up by 5:30. I know it's not Wednesday, but would this work? Or you guys could just show up on Wedneday and find some climbers on your own. I may be able to switch to Wednesday the 6th but I would have no idea how many people could come since everyone has Tuesdays reserved as their day. If your looking to reppell then Bethovens wall would work well, but it is only 45' high. The main wall (80') can be repelled, but it takes a combination of cams and nuts to set up the climb there and it has mostly harder routes above 5.10. If your interested, let me know I may be able to wrangle you some climbers by posting a message to another forum that a lot of us Tuesday climbers belong to. On a side note, we are an active group of climbers and plan to climb this Sunday either at Williamson, Echo Cliffs or Point Dume. You could possibly tag along and get your shots then. We also climb at Boulderdash rock gym (westlake villiage) every Friday night and then go out for drinks and food afterward if you would like to swing by. Best regards, Marc Webster

In reply to: We’re in need of some experienced climbers with gear (including repelling gear). Many rockclimbing.com users seem to come pre-installed with their own repelling software.

That actually sounds like fun...hmmm, I was trying to plan a road trip but maybe I'll be back by then. How long do I need to be there and what will we be doing??

Those folks who are seriously interested have emailed me. I’d love to hear from some more folks, but please email me since I’m not checking this board frequently. Thank you. Regards, James Smith Quit The Movie moderncitizen@sbcglobal.net
