I'm new here and to the sport of climbing, and I have a few questions. First of all, I live in Florida. Is it possible at all for me to climb on actual rocks (or boulders). And secondly, are there climbers who do only bouldering? That seems to be what I'm mainly drawn to in this sport. Thanks!

I have some friends who only boulder. I personally bouldr a lot, but do some sport climbing too. As for florida rock, I am not sure. But, you may want to try the "routes" part of this site to find routes in your area.

Yes, but not in Florida.

No, but there are boulderers who only do bouldering.

Beginner's forum jay, be "nice" (or the closest approximation you can summon.) ;)

To the OP: For advice on climbing in Florida, go to the Regional Discussions, the Partners (which is by area of country), and the Routes DB.

For information about bouldering, go to the bouldering section of the site.

And please use better subject headers for your posts. Thanks!

And there he'll find...drum roll...nothing. Why? Because there is no climbing in Florida. Which is exactly what I said.
