In reply to: just looking for good health food stores in Vegas around the needles up to high sierra's Mt. whittney, incredble hulk and yosemite? or good places to shop for food and dine out. all beta is welcomed grazie For Vegas, I recommend Roberto's on Sahara. Get 2 Carne Asada tacos with rice and beans on the side. Not sure where you can get a decent taco near the Needles.

In reply to: arugula, don't you know have arugula? it's a veg ta ball.. It's a weed. Just pick it out of the back yard. Does taste good with real Ceasar dressing and some stinky Sicilian cheese though. Shortest way Vegas to the Needles would be thru Lake Isabella and Johnsondale. You could go thru Kennedy meadows and hit Jackass Dome and make a side trip down Cherry Hill road to Church Dome or other parts of Domelands too.

There's a Whole Foods market on Charleston, just east of the I-215 out by Red Rock. There's a discount health food grocery that just opened up called Sunflower- its at the intersection of Tropicana and Pecos. Finally, if you're coming in and find yourself on the east side of town, Wild Oats is on Stephanie and Warm Springs. pm me for any other random info on vegas- i'm a 20yr resident and can prolly give you any other info you may want/need.

Outside of Yosemite in Topaz by Mono lake the Mobil station is the usual stop for climbers. Not too healthy but their fish tacos are pretty good, world famous in fact. I could help you out with tahoe and reno, but most of my food i buy from Trader Joes in Reno and I don't think you'll be going there.
