I participated last year and won a new pare of Mad Rocks and a backpack. This year they have a bunch more stuff to raffle off and it really helps the climbers image in the Park Service's eyes.
I hope to see you all out here on the 22nd of September for this great event!
2nd Annual Yosemite Climbing Association Clean-Up
September 22 – 25, 2005
Join fellow climbers and park enthusiasts in restoring Yosemite to its natural beauty. Our goal is to have 500 volunteers this year—more than twice the number from last year. Your participation will help raise awareness and funds for a Yosemite climbing education center and museum.
How you can help:
Volunteer 1 or more days to help pick up and recycle litter
Volunteer to be a crew leader (8 needed) for all 4 clean-up days
Make a donation to YCA or pledge for every bag filled
What you get:
Camp sites (4 nights) for the first 75 people to sign-up
Free entry into the park
Raffle ticket for each day worked to enter drawings for valuable prizes
Closing day fun and festivities
A pristine park for all to enjoy next season
What we need:
Your Name, Address, Phone number, E-mail
Also include the days you wish to volunteer and if you would like a campsite (you must respond early to be eligible)

hey robl/Ken,
I added dates and a link to Yosemite for this thread, so that it'll show up on the front page. I also changed the title to be more obvious when it does land on the front page (Events section). Hope you don't mind, feel free to change it back if you do.
