Pete Lowe sends 14+ in Causy Utah. He was super strong the the 5 year project, saying that he felt stronger and stronger the higher he got. The route has a V12 bottom and finishes on a hard 14a. Check out picks at nuclimbing.com

That's an impressive overhang. Good pictures. Congrats to him. I'll have to go down to Logan Canyon someday, not that I can climb even close to 5.14.

Great Pics of the ascent. The route looks awesome and very burly. Pete looks super strong, and in control. Good luck on future ticks. RJ

It's appropriate that you've posted in the "training" forum, since chipped routes aren't generally considered to be "climbing". Pete and Anthony are strong, but it's too bad they've chosen to concentrate their significant talents on insignificant pursuits.

In reply to: he has done some of the burlyest alpine and rock routes in the world. Are you sure about that? Please expand on this claim.
In reply to: Look here mike- that route is 100 percent natural- attitude like this is why Americans freaking suck!!!!!!!!!!! Did you here that 100 percent natural! Well I've been to that crag, and I'm skeptical. That's the problem...once you go down that road, you will always be suspect. Just don't believe everything you hear, or worship everyone who climbs a certain number.

Look man Americans are rad, in sport climbing we have had a nasty past that slowed us down- Ethics are good- being hardcore and tearing others down is bad. Instead of viewing climbing as a hardcore sport "the American way" - try the European way as a family pursuit- How many families do you see at the crag in America? Climbing is a delicate sport not some steroid meat head sport. I have seen a decline in sport climbers over the last decade-Like it or not we climb in the shadow of the euro's- I believe it is due to The Hardcore American attitude? Correct me if I am wrong- The Basques have it figured out-

I don't wanna be a downer for the claimant of all the "burly alpine routes," but a simple google search doesn't yield anything on Pete Lowe except that he climbed Vampire Direct. Either he's just coming into the press, which is doubtful since somebody is talking about this. Or he's been sitting under this proj for 5 years and has done little else of public note. Not that the route looks easy, and not that it's not a great send, but I'd venture a guess that he's not done many if any alpine ascents. Good job to Pete, and get facts straight people.
