Hey guys,
Just felt like droppin a line to everyone and say that i dislocated my ankle severely last night bouldering. Fell from the top of the bouldering wall and landed on the side of my ankle on the mat.

It sucks SO much because I was entered in the Stone Gardens Seattle Bouldering Comp on the 19th of November.

On the good side though, I don't need surgery, which i might add, all the doctor's and nurses were speculating when i was in the hospital because the dislocation was so bad.

So now i am out for roughly 2 months. Whats good on TV?

Yea, I messed up last night too. Throwing for the top of the bouldering wall, came flying off further than I expected, landed on the edge of a pad, and rolled my ankle. Ended up fracturing the base of my 5th metatarsil on my left foot.

From what I've heard that has a pretty reasonable recovery time as breaks go, but I'm pretty bummed. :(

that is so funny! That is essentially the same thing i did. Threw myself for the final hold, came off farther and at a different angle then expected and landed on my ankle.

How long are you out for?

I've got a splint right now, monday I go in to see an othepedic doctor, and they will decide on the long term treatment. I've heard ~6 weeks to get the cast off.
