Man, I know this is a long shot but does anyone up in Big Sky country know of any climbing around Kalispell or Flathead Lake? I'll take anything, even if it is a 40 foot top rope wall. Wife's company has a cabin we're going to.

I'm not sure right by Kalispell, but I know there is some good stuff there. Perhaps just wait till you're there and check a climbing shop. I do know there is some decent 40 ft top rope walls near the Koocanusa. I've only been there once, but there's a good route called "Room with a View" If you do a photo search I've seen a couple pictures of it on here. Anyways, good luck to you (also try a route search for north western MT)

Yeah, I saw Kila crag but there were not any directions or route info. Do you know of a local outfitter? They might have a small local guide or something.

click the 0friction link for lost wall for the name of the local outfitter. then google it. they will help you out.
there are guides to the first and last in my list.

If you haven't found any info yet on an outfitter, Rock Mountain Outfitter is the place to go. They're located on main street in Kalispell. They've got a lot of info there including topos to the lost wall and Kila. There isn't a whole lot of climbing at the lost wall. Kila crags has more but the rock is really crappy. Your best bet for fantastic climbing is stone hill about an hour and half drive north from Kalispell.

If not, I second Rocky Mountain Outfitter, it's a great group of knowledgeable climbers.
Near Flathead Lake (in Somers) there is climbing at Somers Dump. You can get a guidebook at RMO with Stone Hill, Kila crags, and Somers Dump in it. Stone Hill is by far the best but the others are passable and a lot closer to the lake and town.
