Well after losing one of my favorite shoes (5.10 anasazi mesa), Im looking for replacements. Living in oklahoma our outdoor retailers carry a slim selection of climbing shoes so Im either going to have to travel to colorado or shop online for what im looking for. Ive bought a pair of muiras and they are nice, but being a heavier climber 205lbs, I feel like I need a stiffer shoe to perform on those dime edges comfortably.

So from your experience, what is the stiffest shoe on the market?

ps: Ive already searched the forums, not much help there.

Stiffest I've used are the Newtons and the Southwests, both 5.10s. Not sure if either is still made.

But, I've moved to softer shoes since then. Those things were just too stiff!

By far!!! Ballet Golds made by Boreal, I've been spraying about these for years and never see anyone with them. Board lasted, comfortable enough for long free climbs days in aiders...blah blah, there rad! On-line is skechy due to sizing, for me: I get them 1/2 size smaller the a street shoe. Nothing is as stiff as these!

I climb the trad masters too, they are crack machines! Ballet Golds at stiffer though.

I love the ballet golds. I can stand in them all day and my feet don't hurt. I even did a 4 mile hike off a climb in them once.

It seems like all the stiff shoes are going the way of the dinosaur, in favor of people just getting stronger feet.

Some of the stiffer shoes that i've tried include the sportiva focus, cliff, and mega, The 5.10 anasazi laceup is also kinda stiff.
