I got the $40 cause I'm so :robert:
eeeerm, yeah. The modesty is still intact I see. BTW when you quote, the text says ;robert: Now I know who he is but do you know why you are so robert?

In reply to:
So you ONLY had 40 days on the ice this year?

I had a third of that and our season was only about a month long. I had one day I did 1600'. Brent could have went along that day, but you know the story. :P
Yep we all know the you must be a.... story now. It occurs to me that to have that many days in a month, you probably weren't working. That's a little different to my sorry state of being otherwise occupied (bloody work) for 5 sometimes 6 days a week  That causes a thought though; if indeed you weren't working and if winter was indeed only a month long ---- what were you doing for the rest of the month (slacker)? making like a Brent_E? :P
BTW unless you two are out here next winter, talk to me about where to go for ice that winter lasts for more than a month in Ontario. It may only be a month for Swaze Falls but up north fares better. Aww hell just come out here where the ice lasts longer, climbs are longer, and the list to choose from is longer. :D

Inside joke.

If you understand the joke, you might be a brent_e.

Our month season was spread over about two. The ice formed fell down than reformed a few times over our so called winter.

I was working during the whole ice season. About the time I was done working the ice all fell down. :? I was hoping I would have time off when there was ice, but it didn't really happen. It was all weekend warrior with a couple of trips out in the morning before I went to work on second shift. I think I had a couple days I took off to climb too.

Brent was saying that the Eagle's Nest had ice into May(not that he climbed it). But I don't think that place did all that well this winter for the most part, it was warm there too a lot. Most of the time we didn't know if there was ice or not for sure, so we either went to the Daks or climbed the local stuff.

21 pages. Who would have ever thought this little flame Brent thread would go so long? To bad there isn't much in the way of content.

Content schmontent.... content is overrated anyway.

It takes a couple of years of reading ontario weather and ice to know when and where. I don't know how the Nest fared but Diamond Lake about 45 minutes further north had another good year with the climbs being in good condition.

I still say you and GG should head this way though. BTW I'm booked into the Bugs for a week starting the 29th July, after which I will likely head south or west..... or both. In case the unemployment thing see's you itching for tripping side of life.

You might be a Brent_e if you post to this thread more than you climb?

This is a funny thread though.

You might be a brent_e if you've bailed on climbing with your friend again!!!

Sigh, I guess this means I'll be stuck working on a beautiful weekend (no excuse to get out of it). :(

I'm POSITIVE brent_e won't be climbing at all this summer.

How's that for positivity?

Right now would be the perfect time for you to come out to the Tower. That way you could say you have been out here and you could use the voluntary closure as your excuse for not doing any climbing.

^^^^^^^That one's a winner. ^^^^^^^

We have closures here on Mt. Lemmon and in the Cochise Stronghold.

You might be a Brent_e if you schedule a summer long climbing trip to hit only the closure areas.

well red, i'll tell you this: it's a full time job. Not that hard to do, really, but there are some things that other people would find difficult.

if you want to meet me, come to canada with several thousand dollars and maybe i could make some sort of arrangement to pull me away from my busy schedule.

Best

Lies!!

All lies!!!!

I've tried hiring you as a belay slave and you would have no part.

Nor did you want anything to do with working a 15 min. stroll to the Tower!

There is no pleasing you!

i guess i have an affinity to being close to home, family, and my girlfriend.

thing is, if my parents are going to help me pay the bills, and they do, i have to make an honest effort to get a decent job. I don't think i could make 20 bucks an hour down there even as your belay slave and then there would be more expenses.

If I am going to go to EASTERN Canada, it will have to be during ice season. Some of those mixed and ice routes out there in Gripped looked pretty fun.

You might be a Brent_e if you have your own thread and your post count is still going down.
