Hi, There is one, a series of 5 covering the whole of Japan. Im not sure what its called, but its something like "100 free cliimbing areas", and they are by Kitayama Makoto.
Its all in Japanese, but the diagrams are good and grades fairly evident. Its certainly not comprehensive, I think its a best of guide.
One of the series (cant remember which, #3 I think) is Kansai and one other region.

Ive also heard tell of a 'Black Book' but havent seen it in any shops yet. I think that has more detail.

If yer up Kyoto way anytime soon, drop me a line anonymi@ecoisp.com
