Hi I am new to LA and want to find indoor halls to do climbing and bouldering. I am not a beginner . I am looking for new friends in the area too. . If you are looking for a partner, let me know .

There are several climbing gyms in the LA area. You're in Studio City? Do you live and work there? Unfortunately I'm not familiar with any gym very nearby to you, so it depends on how far you are willing to drive (Thousand Oaks, Arcadia, West LA, Huntington Beach?)

I frequently climb in West LA at Rockreation - which is not terribly convenient to you, but I like it quite a bit.

I just moved here too. Rockreation in West LA seems to be the closest. It's not the best gym I have ever been to but pretty descent.

Welcome to the neighborhood!!!

And there are several good places to get your indoor on....

The first place I would recommend is Arcadia Rock Climbing, in Arcadia.

Primarily a bouldering gym, but there are a lot of people going there, and it would be a good place to find a partner.
The second place I would highly recommend is Boulderdash in Westlake.

This one has the tallest climbs I have been to in LA....don't make it there often in the evening since it is a hike to get there.
The third place I like to climb indoor is Beach City Rocks in Hawthorne.

Fun place, with a decent lead wall and auto belays in case you don't have a partner yet.
There are other gyms, but these are the ones I frequent and happily pony up some dough and have a good time climbing at.

Good luck!!!
