I'm looking to climb the Nose next May. My first time in Yosemite this past spring, and we got as far as Dolt Tower, but bailed for various reasons mostly due to slow pace, partnerism and gumbyism. Since then, I'm training harder for more free and french free as I now realize the Nose requires for a 3 day ascent. If you're of similar motivation, I'd be psyched to hook up for this climb come next May, '07. I'm super motivated and focused to get this climb. I've climbed RNWF of 1/2 Dome. Honestly, I'm not excited to be scouring for big wall partners on the net, but I live in a small climbing community with no one particurally interested in climbing the Nose or any big wall for that matter. So, I thought I'd expand the field so to speak. I've already set my mind to it and will get more focused as the time draws near, so let me know. I'm totally self-sufficient gear wise: haul bag, and the myriad aid gear. I really, really really want to climb El Cap in May! PM or e-mail: plotzee@yahoo.com

sounds like you have a lot of motivation. What area of the country do you live in? It seems it would be easier to train if you are atleast within a weekend's drive of your future partner. Maybe try a few routes out prior to starting on the 3 day hike.

I live in north central Washington. Well yeah, of course that would be ideal, but more important to me is someone totally jacked to climb the Nose, but with the requisite free and aid skills. Ideally, in WA, but the point of my inquiry was to throw the idea out there to see if I could partner up with someone of equal motivation first and foremost.
