Hello all. I was wondering, how many, if any of you guys and girls slackline and if you would like to maybe start working out (slacklining) say one or two days/ nights a week down by the beach in Santa Barbara. I reciently moved up to SB in May and have been climbing with some people but I have yet to find any slacklining partners. I have a 100ft reinforced slackline that I can usu set up to around 70 feet long or shorter. I have been setting up between the palmtrees down by the beach in between garden st and milpas st. Just wondering if anyone would ever care to join me, all experience levels are welcome even those that have none with slacklining, its never too late to learn. Anyone care to join?

Why would you slackline when you can climb, fire crags, gibralter, red rocks.... etc.

I already go to those places, and like I said earlier I have been climbing with other people, and more are welcome to join. But as of right now I dont have any partners to slackline with, and I was wondering if there was anyone out there who wants to learn how to slackline or already does that would be interested in setting up a weekly event of slacklining at the beach, different heights and lengths are always fun.

Somewhere on RC.com there is a slackline video made in SB. The group had several lines set up on the beach using palm trees, which could be anywhere in that area. They were fairly talented at the skill. They also lived right on the beach. Apparently, they had a mean butter-squash stew recipe that they serve out of a crock-pot. That all I have to say about that.

Hey there, I've been known to put up a line down on East Beach from time to time. I usually just slackline by myself but I would be stoked to join other people. Lemme know when you're headed down there. Skyeler

Yo whats up. Im down to slackline alot this semester. Im thinking about starting a club at SBCC, a slackline club. not sure though. When do you want to go to the beach? I can go mon wed afternoon and tuesday thursday all day. Im going to be rigging highlines this semester also...if you know of good locations let me know. Im going to check out the possibility of a Gibraltar rock highline. I need some help rigging and monetary support would be good too, but believe me, you will be rewarded with a sick highline to throw yourself off of. Also, I need SB climbing partners, so if anyone wants to climb, PM me please. I have alot of free time right now. Also, PM me with your highline locations, i still have no clue where i am in this big town, i get lost daily (on purpose). Parks are good with high trees and big branches way up high, preferably out of radar of tourists/police. Thanks Rob

Unless I get Upstaffed I will be slacklining this sunday down at the beach between garden and milpas. I have a 100 ft line and will set up any length between 30 and 70 ft, anyone is more than welcome to come, I will be down there probably around 3pm. does this work for everyone, or anyone who is interested?

I am so sorry everyone but due to the heat and the high fire danger, the county has decided to upstaff my crew for tomorrow, so I wont be able to go slacklining. I appologize, and will make it up to you guys hopefully next week. It doesnt look like I will be working monday or tuesday so would anyone like to slackline those days?
