In reply to: In reply to: In reply to: I just thought I'd do a drive by to gloat about a 7 pitch backwoods granite route I did today in the sunshine. Didn't see another soul from the time we parked till we walked in the bar. clearly, I am no 'brent_e' :robert: :robert: Clearly. :righton: But honestly, how much can you gloat about 35' pitches? Hey, its more than most of us manage to climb in this thread. Well how did I do? I managed to see two slideshows, one play, climb both days this weekend, and put up two pitches of a new route: all climbing related. Meanwhile chossy managed another ..... ??50?? posts of drivel. Isn't it a shame when Bent_E appears to have more of a life?

Now how could you have possibly gone climbing both days this weekend?!? Today was clearly a write off (due to rain).... atleast is seemed that way.

I guess you haven't heard, grigri, but grant is the angel of rock and ice. He's so eager to get out, if you chopped his arms off he'd use his teeth on those micro crimpers and to a lesser extent on low angled ice. a little rain won't hurt this man. and yes, it would appear that going duck hunting and working on the car constitutes more of a life that 50 posts on RC.com. :righton: nate!

Please tell me you weren't in it! :? Its bad enough seeing you wearing tights in old climbing photos. It's quite another to think of you wearing tights and prancing around on stage.

In reply to: and yes, it would appear that going duck hunting and working on the car constitutes more of a life that 50 posts on RC.com. Yeah. As long as spending a good portion of both day in bed with my wife. Going to the Book Depot with my wife and getting some early Christmas shopping done. Working on planning a couple of ice climbing trips for this winter. And going out to dinner with my wife, Kelly, and Alison, who made time to come see us. All don't count. Now if you will excuse me I'm going climbing.

In reply to: In reply to: In reply to: Nathan next year we should do Doppler Effect 5.10b and Rock Wars 5.10a I did Rock Wars six years ago on my first trip to the Red. Haven't done Doppler though. Did you get on Twinkey? Sport route ? Yes. It was pretty cool looking.

Even Got my own FA this weekend. Oh, and you might be a Brent_e if you spend more time designing handles for ice tools than actually ice climbing. :D :nono:

A historical view of Elizabeth Parker, founding member of the ACC, and a little bit of climbing culture. And while I may be old with a failing memory, I don't recall wearing tights for climbing ever. I may have to buy some now though just in case you ever get out west for some real ice. It appears blinding you may be the only viable solution to stopping your postwhore rampage. :robert: OTOH maybe it's you getting senile? If you have pics of "ME" in tights, post up whore

Actually I do remember a few minutes of light drizzle during the crux and I even heard there was a few flakes of snow mixed in but I was otherwise occupied. :? Generally the weather was OK if a little chilly after 5pm but never doubt the capacity of the force to climb. or  the darkside will climb.

Getting out and living is a better style, ergo Brent has more of a life. One computer glitch and 50 posts are simply gone, but the duck will be dead forever. :wtf:

In reply to: Sport route ? What are you too good for sport routes? Twinkey is one of the routes that defines the RED. If you really wanted to you could probably place gear on much of it in the big pockets. On my one go at it I melted off near the end just clipping bolts.

I just went out to the bridge and did some ropesolo TR. Just where the fuck is this damn "cheese burger" hold? I climbed that wall over and over agian using everything and anything that resembled a hold and never found it. Now that we are on the topic of the bridge. What's up with the Pipe route? Is that supposed to be a drytooling route?

In reply to: In reply to: What's up with the Pipe route? Is that supposed to be a drytooling route? No. So it is supposed to be a textbook example of how not to manufacture a free route? Someone I met out there once seemed to think that's what it was for too. Regardless, it makes for a pretty good warm-up drytool route when using Brent's tools.
