For my latest proj I might need some poof to get my hand to stick. I have tried all kinds of sticky substances to no avail. Does anyone know where to get poof in the US? Or how to make it? What it is? I need to realize this proj real bad!

Sounds like something you can only get, or want for that matter, in Arkansas.

Don't use poof!! It is no longer an acceptable practice to use it as it makes holds worse over time. If you need this to send; perhaps you should spend more time climbing so you can climb it without having to have some "Poof" help. Also if you don't know what it is: Poof is the resin from plants, ie. trees or things along those lines. It will grease up a hold faster than anything else and does not wash away. Just my two cents. Cheers, Andy

sorry for the miss spelling. I say no to poofs. It sounds like I can't go down to the local sportopia and get some pof, but maybe that sappy stuff they put on baseball bats would be a good substitute? As for polishing the holds, I keep a wire brush handy(as well as some turpentine) for cleaning up.

Great, so not only will you be greasing up the holds for everyone else with pine tar or pof, but you'll be gouging the holds as well with a wire brush. Your body should adapt to the climb, not the other way around. Get stronger, don't screw up a climb for someone else with borderline aid tactics.

You need Pof? You also want to retro bolt a crag to make it safer? Lets retro fit the PIT Maybe you need to hone in your skills and your head. Transcend to the level of the rock/route, don't bring the route down to your level... Cheers, Tom

Sorry your initial trolling effort wasn't understood, but you didn't have to go and downgrade yourself to a complete idiot in one step :D T -10

1. 'Poof' is a derogatory name for an effeminate man, or the sound something makes when disappears. 'Pof' is the the resinous substance, most famously used by the French, to render the smears and small footholds on the boulders at Font completely useless. 2. This is right up there for 'Lame Troll of the Year' award.
