Hello fellow climbers. I'm wondering if anyone has done or has access to a proposal related to developing a climbing area. Basically, an access/crag proposal internationally o domestically. Any sample/advise would be heavenly. Thanks much.

I can't tell where you are located from your profile or question, but the first step I recommend you take is to contact your local Access Fund representative. Their expertise is educating climbers on how to evaluate the circumstances of their crag, and what processes, steps etc. might be the most beneficial to keeping development and access of the crag in a successful balance. I'm sure they have copies of other Climbing Management Plans that they have worked on if it comes to that. But you really should talk to your local rep, or someone from the Access Fund. http://www.accessfund.com Good luck. P.S. you will get better answers if you specify the area/state/country this crag is in. If it is on private property? Is the owner known? Is it in a national park or national forest? Other history etc.

Thanks much. We've chatted with: deanne@accessfund.org who's directed use to Sam Lightner. Looking for international proposals and/or proposalsin E. Asia. Issues of increased tourism reflect positively and negatively in relation to this overseas proposal. Again, Thanks for responding with the good beta.
