I've got 20 m of webbing for my first slackline. Wondering how much webbing I should cut for the anchors?

i usually don't need any more than 10 feet to sling a fat tree...

I'd say don't cut any off that webbing but keep it at 20m so that you don't need to buy a longer line when the summer comes, and you have mastered the line you are walking now. Check the average size of tree's where you plan on slacking most and buy a bit of extra webbing accordingly. If you make them so that they can be doubled, tripled or even quadrupled then you will have more options too.

Yeah I cut off the first sling from my length of line before realising it was a bad idea and then bought the second sling separately. I ended up getting another length just for the pulley section!?! I would avoid cutting it. In the mean time until you get slings you could just tie a small loop at the end of your line, flick that end round the tree and then pass the rest of your line through the loop for an anchor at the end opposite the pulley.
