Is there anywhere to camp in Logan Canyon in April? I assume the campgrounds aren't open yet but what about primitive camping on Forest Service land nearby.

You can camp in any number of spots by the creek along the right hand fork road. We were there about 3 weeks ago, and it was ok. Don't drink the water. You'll know why when you get there.

Like the previous poster said right hand fork should be great, we climbed in the shade on sunday at the cave and the weather was perfect. I don't know about the water situation, but you can either pull into one of the pay campgrounds and fill up, or if you want to use the tap at my house you can.

Thanks for the invite Scott.

I'm keeping Logan in mind as a backup if the weather forecast for Lander, WY this weekend looks bad. We're hoping to hit SInks but we enjoy Logan as well.

Is the right hand fork area noted in the latest guide to Logan and pretty easy to figure out? Thanks.

Right hand fork is right next to china cave, instead of pulling over on the left side of the road you turn right onto a road and follow a half mile or so to find a camping spot.
