I see no one has made it through unscathed, the high scores all finished with 16 lives left. Has anyone shot down those two flying bosses? Successfully stopped all of the spawn bosses?

Yeah, on the last one I got the flying bosses, it's the spawning one before them that leaked through. Think I know how to stop him, but it will take more concentration than I can do at work - and not look like I'm playing a video game. If you can get two well placed Air towers, fully upgraded, and two frost... those flying bosses should go down no problem. On normal, that is. Nice find gecko, very addicting. Edit: Hard level seems to give them more life. Slowing them down seems more crucial.

Yup, you get into sort of a rhythm, that becomes more precise as you fine tune your maze. More important on the hard level. Your maze should just be long enough to kill the last of the creeps as they finish your maze, otherwise you're wasting money too early in lengthing your maze, or you should be sending more out earlier. I played a game here at work, where you keep minimizing and let the game run in the background, and it works... but you do do better if you're actively playing, trying to be as efficient as possible. Normal can help get the basics, and figure out the rough sketch of your maze. But you're going to have to change things in Hard or Challenge. The first couple of rounds can be tough in the level because you don't really have your maze set yet. Damn you gecko.

interesting. I have tried different game theories. First, I tried to load up the squirts right in the center of the maze. That way, they'd be effective against the flyers (which only cross the center.) downside there, is that if i got bum rushed in the middle, lots would slip through. So I started scattering my squirt towers, and adding in freeze stations. progress. I've been going back and forth on Swarm towers, because there really aren't that many flying levels, and it's a lot of $$ to pump them up to level 5. But that might be what I need to break through. I've also been playing around with a Bash tower. It does pretty good damage, and the stun is nice for breaking up the group waves. I haven't used the dart tower in a long time. Way slow, and no good against flyers. Also, I haven't pumped up the pellet towers in a while, but I remember reading that if you pumped one up to level 5 sniper tower, you could target the creep you want. might have to give that a try. Oh, and Ender's Game was a cool book.

Sweet Jesus. I looked at this game yesteday, no thank you I said. Tried it this morning, no big deal. Again at lunch, starting to see the appeal..... Only played a couple more times, can't get much past lever 20 because I have to keep closing the window with so many people walking by at work. I'm just hoping I can avoid temptation once I get home, I've got stuff that I need to get done!

I have also switched my maze strategy a couple times. I was initially trying to create a funnel for the two entrances, so all creeps went one way. lately, I've been creating a double opening spiral, so they each take different paths, and meet in the middle. The disadvantage here is that you ahve to build fast. I've been throwing up pellet towers, and then scrapping them and replacing as I have the gold.

Now you're on the right path (no pun intended) CI. You get a much longer maze if you don't funnel. THe trick is getting your building order set so none of the early guys slip through. Hint: only focus on one end of the maze first.

ok, i give up and bow down to you guys. I just can't take it any more. I seem to make a couple critical mistakes per game that lets a booger or two slip through and then I am hosed. and it takes too long for one game to devote any more time to it!!!

I am glad I found this a while ago. The scores have sky rocketed lately. If I were still playing, I would be a little obsessive about getting higher on the list. Thankfully, I was playing when the scores were lower. I beat things so that I was happy with myself and could leave the game alone. Now, I watch the youtube videos of the really awesome players, but I can ignore the game otherwise.

They changed the game so the spawn boss blows up into a million little guys instead of just 4. Makes the end levels much more difficult. Bastards! -Joe

I'm happy with my current maze design (although it still needs a bit of tweaking), but I can't understand how they can get so many more point than I do. I know it has to do with sending in the waves early, but how early/often?! -F

Best way is to just start sending them in. Learn what is too much and back off a bit. You need to get not only your maze memorized, but the order you set it up in. Very important in Hard. Once you do that you can go back to normal and release like crazy. I can almost instantly release the first 4 in normal, and usually have about 3-4 groups in my maze at a time. In case you haven't figured it out yet, get 1 squirt tower to max FIRST. Don't have any more than 2 squirt towers until you max out one. And don't put any more than that first 12g upgrade in the other. Trust me. Once ones upgraded, build one more, and upgrade the first. It's an easy, and bad, habit to build a bunch and upgrade constantly. One fully upgraded is worth about 40 normal ones. If you want to cure your addiction I recommend the 100 challenge. It gets crazy by level 80, and there's not much to do anymore. Pretty much gets boring after that.
