if your profile is accurate and you can do 5.9 trad, you can lead snake dike. the hardest climbing part are a couple slab moves in the beginning pitches. the hardest mental part is the 30-40 ft runouts on the upper pitches. one of the guys at camp 4 called it snake hike and after we did it, i had to agree. too much hiking involved. once you can see the rock, it still sucks. we had to bushwhack a little to get to the slabs at the base of the climb.

Thanks Julian. Maybe I did my profile wrong. 5.9 to follow, not lead. However. I'm thinking about just heading out tues after labor day and picking up a partner at camp 4 to do it. Do you have any favorite climbs at yosemite in about the same difficulty or similar? -Jesse

Jesse, Climb Munginella at Five Open Books. Really fun, three-pitch 5.6.

I'm planning on being in yosemite those dates and wont have a partner. I've never climbed in the valley before but I think I can probably lead it.

Great man, I would like to climb Friday. Call me 858 228 7313 and we can iron out the details if you are still up for it. I'll be driving up tomorrow morning. Thanks, Jesse
