What shoes should I wear? I was told skater shoes but mine are pretty heavy does that make a difference? thanks!

barefoot best.. but i have walked in skater, climbing, approach, flips so it really doesnt matter

For climbing? You use climbing shoes. For approach? You use a comfortable shoe that stcks to slick stone (Vibram).

i wear vans slip on's, they are flat and grippy like skateshoes, but they arent heavy and they bend really nicely. its like walking barefoot but you have great grip.

Dude, barefoot is where it's at. Not only does it give you a full friction with the line where you can feel everything that's going on, but some types of lines will allow shoes to slide too well on them, leaving you open to eating it at the worst possible times.

Wrestling shoes work really well too. They provide more ankle support too.
