It's that time of year.. I don't know if the Venus and Armed and dangerous walls are cleared yet but just pay attention to the signs and the message board at the parking lot

Bugger. For some reason Rumney has felt less crowded this summer. I was pinning that notion on the fact that Main Cliff has been open for most of the year. Now I guess that theory will be tested.

Epoch and I climbed a cliff a few weeks ago. The section isn't in any guidebooks and I ain't saying where it was, but anyhoo, we figured out we were near a nest when we started getting dive bombed by peregrine. Scared the shit outta me.
Up to that point, whenever I've seen a closure sign I've always wanted to climb anyway (although I never did). After the dive bombing, I no longer have that urge.
