Hi, Just a little bug here. When I select a section of text and hit one of the formatting buttons (b, u, i etc.) it wraps the text in both [x] and [/x] tags, but still changes the buttons to "[/x]" as for when you press them without selecting any text. Hope this makes sense!

Hope this makes sense! It does make sense, but I probably won't spend much time on this any time soon. It does little harm right now. DDT

just click the button twice while the text is highlighted... it will not add any additional tagging, but will reset the button. However, one thing about the procedure you mention which is a PITA is the tendency for the text editor to return to the top line, which requires one to find where they were when adding the formatting. No biggie when the amount of text will fit within one screen of the editor, but a royal PITA when going over the text to add formatting where deemed applicable or necessary and finding where you were requires scrolling through several pages of text in order to find where the hell you were. Easy Fix? It's been bugging me since the change-over in BBS styles... I've been patient, but figured I might as well bring it up since the discussion has turned to other editor bugs.

If I recall correctly we were looking at this at some point. As far as I know it's only a problem in some browsers. What are you using again? DDT

.....of course, I am not really a fan of the idea either, because as you can see, it just encourages/enables spammers like blakedau@gmail.com. PS, stymi, DDT gave an answer to your question here: http://www.rockclimbing.com/...uest%20post;#1479154
