Today is the 4 month mark. It's officially 4 months until my estimated quitting work day :D. 4 months; 16 weeks. 640 hours until the day I leave here and hit the road. 8 glorious months! Destinations as follows (in semi-chronological order)

- EPC, Mexico
- Joshua Tree, CA
- Moab, UT
- Red Rocks, NV
- Bishop, CA
- Yosemite, CA
- Bugaboos, BC
- Squamish , BC

1 location per month is what i'm aiming for. Why am I posting this? Because I'm excited, and I'm going to try and post up some of my preperation and trip in this thread.... for now, just working hard, saving money and fixing the car to make sure it's ready for the big trek!

Awesome! Wish I could do that! Hell, I'd settle for one of those locations for two weeks :P

Awesome! And, I hate you! Smile

So, I see you are from Canada. What is the situation for heath insurance when traveling out of country and not working (no idea if employers subsidize the State health care in Canada)? Do you need to buy a private plan or does the glorious nation of Canada cover your health care even when out of the country?

Have a great time and post some updates on your rest days if you can.
