Hey guys, I'm flying in to Denver w/ 2 other climbers for a trade show this week... I'd love to have any info on a nice place preferably low volume, somewhere around Denver. We're from the East Coast, and will probably never be back so we promise not to open the floodgate on your gems, we just want to get one good day of climbing in...

Looking to climb eldorado and lumpy ridge the 12th-14th of September. Another easterner flying into denver... although I'll be alone with rental car. Perhaps a flatiron would be a great idea. Anyone available to show the goods wednesday - friday?

Thanks,

Jeff

Hey,
If you're looking for trad, you should try Eldorado canyon (~40 minute drive). It's big enough that you can get away from crowds, and there are classics all over the place.
For sport climbing, check out clear creek canyon (~25 minute drive). You should be able to find a shady crag, and one for your difficulty range. Anarchy wall is west facing, and mostly hard (5.11 warm up), that limits the crowds. Wall of the nineties (also west facing) has some more moderate lines.

Nope but it sure sounds like an interesting event. I'm headed to the FSU CU football game in Boulder over the weekend with some college buddies. When I saw how much I could save by changing my flight dates I decided to take the week. Still looking for anyone to rope up with either at eldorado, the flatirons, lumpy, or even some moderate alpine in the park Wednesday the 12th - Friday the 14th. Beer for the mountaineer's on me...

Best,

Jeff
