Who is the appropriate god for rock climbers? I could have used one yesterday in a tight chimney, and I had no idea whom I should ask for some divine intervention. When I was a sailor, we always asked for Neptune's help. More than one tot of run has been poured over the transom to ask Neptune to calm the violent seas. Last winter I moved to a ski area and noticed most locals praying to Ullr, the icelandic god of skiing and snow. When we needed some more snow we even burned an old ski as an offering. It worked. So who is the deity of rock and/or rock climbing? Itztli? How about Mercury? I'm thinking those winged shoes would come in handy for more than just delivering messages. Cruxed climbers need to know!

Cruxed climbers need to know! Like most of life, how to deal with being cruxed: Never let anything from outside your body possess you. Bill L (wish I could claim that one)

Jesus for me. "The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, the God of my strength, in whom I will trust...." "For who is God, except our Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?" With all the rock references, who better for a cruxed climber? Has saved me on many occasions
