at what level? well, usually at just under 1,000 feet above sea level.

dude, it is subjective... sometimes I get bucked off of v2, and sometimes I can whoop on v6.

I'd say v-3 ish. Really depends. I have done a v-5 dyno, but i think its just because i'm tall.

Someone else said it in another thread and it made a lot of sense. The V system is a great rating system for developing a training regime. However, it is a horrible system for comparing yourself to other climbers.

Why do you really need to compare yourself to others? It won't help you climb better.

V-.01 I suck at bouldering but I plan on changing that!

I can make my way through the occasional V1 but it isn't pretty.

Make that V2. I've improved since my last post. YAY!

Edited to update my level

I don't think the other thread will answer your question. I guess I just think people get too obsessed with numbers sometimes.
More than once, I've walked up to a V5 and done it on my first try. I may turn around and find some V3 that takes me 15 trys. If you focus on the numbers that information is totally useless. However, if I look closely at that v3 that gave me troulbe I might find a a weakness that I need to work on. The numbers just don't mean s$%*t, outside of personal improvement.

V3/5.8

I hate it when people come in here and call it spray...lots of people, myself included would just like to know how we realitivly compare to the rest of the climbing world.

I don't boulder that much and when I do its in the gym. Up to about V3 or v4 but then again I like inverted stuff with small pockets. If it where on a slight over hang on sloppers I would be toast. It all tepends on the type of the climb

i boulder a constant v4, meaning i can have a v4 done in a day most everytime. i have climbed a lot harder than but i feel confident calling myself a v4 boulderer in the northeast. i went out west and got spanked by the difference in the rock. very subjective.

just doing one or two v5 problems doesnt make you a v5 boulderer.

This is a tough one that sounds like bragging and always depends on the area. Stoney Point (Los Angeles) I've done several V7 (possibly V9?) but that's home crag advantage. Buttermilks I've done a couple V7, but still have several V3-5 that continue to kick my ass and have not gone. Joshua Tree I'm about a V5 range but have tagged a couple V7. Happy's/Sad's I've done V9. Tuolomne I've done B1+ (flashed one, second try the other) and both were 20+ feet high, and my personal favorite is the Swimming Hole (Filmore) where I've done "Hard" (no ratings at the Hole) with a couple of highball second ascents. But that was last year. This year I'm pulling Ben & Jerry's and clipping bolts. At least until tomorrow when I start up a new winter of trad at Joshua Tree

15 feet--max, 12 feet if I'm gripped. Anything more and its a TR for me.

I personally usually climb around a V3, but it really does depend on what type of problem it is, and what day it is. Well, actually I don't think I could pull off a 3 right now due to the two concussions I received in one week, oops.

I have bouldered v7 at hueco when I was there with my hardest onsight being a v4. Since I have not climbed in a while I would have to sya those are probably not where I am at right now.

Like most folks here I think the only thing ratings are good for is to make sure you dont get i over your head, and to see how you progress.

Don't worry, go climb.

I boulder harder than I climb!

I sport climb harder than I trad climb.

I trad climb harder than I walk in...

Don't like ugly walk in's.

Cheers.

sport-hardest lead is 5.11d
bouldering-hardest send v6(v7 if you count one-move dynos)
trad-hardest lead 5.8 hardest second 5.10

but all of this is very relevant. dont get hung-up on grades...
