What is the best area near this town? I'll be there for about 10 days and was hoping to get a fix. Looks like weather wont be too forgiving though. Any suggestions? I'll probably just be bouldering.

Hey, Are you talking Cottare Grove, Oregon? If so try the Callahans outside of Roseburg. Even if you don't get to climb there because of weather it is a cool place to check out.

yeah, sorry, in oregon. Thanks for the post, hopefully i'll get a day or 2 to roll out there. looks pretty, i'm not bringing any rope gear though. no room unfortunately.

Hey mikej, I'm in S.D. with my dad for x-mass. I'll be back in Roseburg on the 26th. If the weather is good and you are still in logging country lets link up. I like showing folks around the Callahans. Its a Tolkkenesque kinda place. There are very few local climbers (but very friendly), and the place is very much developed. Keith

thanks keith, unfortunately, other plans have been made for the next few days we're here. i hope that changes, but probably wont. (i'm here with the inlaws) It looks gorgeous, i wish we could get out. next time we're up, i'll pm you. Thanks again, mike
