M'Biking, Ski-ing, Triathlon, Kayak-ing etc, competitions all have a "Masters, Veterans, Seniors" category. Why not bouldering comps?

Most bouldering comps do. It's 40+ if I'm not mistaken.

ABS and SCS have a Masters Division (40+ years). The Triple Crown has both an "Ancient Hardbodies" division (I think it's 35+ years), and a "Stone Masters" Division (45+ years--but then you gotta compete against John Sherman---just a little intimidating)....

I've never seen a major freestyle kayaking comp with a masters division. In fact, the current World Champion, Eric Jackson, is 44. The comp where he won the world title was "north of the 49th".

I did a triathlon a couple weeks ago and the masters division was 55+ Nothing like being smoked by guys twice your age. There were only about five of them in that category, but cripes, they were freakin' tough.
