Grahamelot wrote: Question: How do I go over the seemingly impassable lines...? For instance, on the climb Electric Worry on 3/4 wall, I can clip the first and second bolt, move left through the opening, and clip the 3rd bolt and get to the rest jug. From there, all I see above me is a line that I cannot get over, and to the left of me there is nothing. Is there some reason why I can't get over that barrier? Will I need to get to the dyno ability before I am able, or what? for electric worry you have to move right and up through the line. it should start a button sequence crux. if not maybe thats a bug in the game. on the harder routes many times you'll have to cross the lines. try previewing the route first by holding x.

Grahamelot wrote: You should add more ropes, different outfits (synthetic fabrics, bright colors, whatever), shoes, etc. Not to mention the gear. Only if it makes the charecter better/worse. If it is only for fun don't botter. First time I played THPS I played with character dressing. Now my skaters always wear a plain white T.

flyingnutmuncher.com wrote: April 9, 2008: The final demo is done. I am currently testing it, and plan to upload it by the end of the week. There have been many changes, so I recommend reviewing the manual (which received a cursory update as well). Remember, your old "characterdata" files will not be compatible with this release. To use the new demo you will have to start from scratch. The other page also says "NEW Update coming on April 11th!".

Am I missing something? In the new version, I can't get any gear placements other than the smallest nuts to work. Nothing goes into the tall crack (which used to take cams) or the larger nut placement above the jug. I can see the little flashing stars, but he simply won't place anything there.

He posted an update to fix that. You must be using version 4.1? It works for me in 4.2. What does paying the guide do? I've given him $100 and $200 and nothing happens. It doesn't seem as if I've learned anything (haven't tried to dyno).

When you saved your character, it would save your stats but not what "bonus items" you got. Therefore, if you saved your character, deleted him/her, loaded your character, all of the bonuses would return. You could keep doing this and get the attribute bonus many times. [edited] to mention that he fixed this and the items you got are now saved with your character so if you were to do this, you would still only be able to get the bonuses once.

I'm at the 5.9 plateau... I'm stuck here because I have no motivation to climb routes over and over to get to the next route (a 5.11). It gets quite boring. I found Halderssons route (5.8) to be harder than Gym Rats Spray Lord(??) (5.9). Still looking forward to some new crags

The point of the Demo is to get to 5.8/5.9 - the full version will pick up where this leaves off with LOTS of new routes....

I'm a 50/40/40 5.10 climber, but I can't Dyno yet. What's the deal?! I don't have the skill yet and the blue robed guys won't teach it to me.
