Like an idiot, I tried to wait until the last minute to decide whether to go. Now all the spots are taken (tried to sign up on active.com). Looks like I'll have to wait until next year.

So, since the weather seems to have shifted into possibly not fantastic, will there be suggestions for rain friendly locations if we aren't extremely familiar with the areas?

Great Question, I would like to know where all the money goes. Last year, rumor has it, the NRR raised so much money that they actually pushed the donations onto other organizations. 17,000+ is a lot of bolts, over 2000 5 piece stainless, hangers and shuts. And that is not counting the money that will end up in the donation box.

By "other organizations" are you referring to the organization of a couple dozen different brands of imported beer in the kegger j_ung threw a month after?

I don't care where my money goes....j_ung can spend it on cheese and hookers for all I care.....It's not like one person controls all the funds....I'm pretty sure they police themselves.....as far as the rain goes, wait till thursday night before you worry about rain...weather forecasting in WV is crappy @ best. Also, don't forget to trade in your USA bills, WV only takes WV bills now. BTW, did you get a tetnis shot yet Truello?.....my shank is gettin extra rusty

And that is not counting the money that will end up in the donation box. Good questions. Have a look here: http://www.newriverclimbing.net/...=34&Itemid=10010 One of the statements you'll read there is this: "Since its inception, NRAC has been the single driving force behind trail building, installation of ladders for access to the Gorge’s miles and miles of cliff line, anchor maintenance and replacement and much, much more. NRAC continues to act as a liaison between climbers and land managers all around the region. We also work closely with other conservation and user groups on a variety of issues that affect climbers." Aside from anchor and bolt replacement, which continues at a fevered pitch pretty much year round, there are plenty of other projects that need love and care, like ladders, trail building, tools and, occasionally, donations to other organizations -- if the Board feels their work impacts New River-area climbing and climbers significantly. For example, we make an annual donation to the Access Fund. I probably already overstepped my role in this case, as I'm not the treasurer. Shoot him an email gene(at)waterstoneoutdoors(dot)com, for a more complete answer. (But don't expect a response until sometime after the 'Vous is over!)

The drive up definitely inhibits the quantity I can get made. But, the poppyseed rolls are in the process now, too. I need to test a few of those before I drive up.

Is the Rendezvous logo copyrighted or can I use it as I please? I was making up some sweet little helmet stickers (not to sell) and just wondered.
