I've been working on one handed knot tying techniques. Thus far, I've come up with one that forms the munter, clove, slip, inline fig-8, buntline, bowline and fisherman. Here's the youtube video on forming the munter hitch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3R2bB1JBBDs Other videos show the remaining knots.

Good thread. I think the best of these to tie one handed is the clove hitch. The munter is easy since it's not much different than the clove. Once you have the clove down, you can rest at the anchor. Cool vid.

Nice to know that there are videos showing it. I have practiced tying figure 8 one-handed a few times, just to see if I could do it with either hand, but I have not tried other knots.

Here's the fig-8 video to see how it compares: http://www.youtube.com/...&feature=channel This method is based on forming a bight on the pinky. The middle three fingers form a loop. From that point, bights and loops make knots.
