Does anyone have feedback on Dr. Sears Pace Program for conditioning? His claims that exercize is detrimental to the heart and lungs unless done his way have me ready to order but not quite, so I was hoping someone had feedback on this.

Waste of money. If you're going to buy something info-mercially like this, you'd be better off getting the P90X or beach body. Better yet, just get a free workout off an number of websites or go to a gym and get 4 free sessions with a trainer (or whatever your local gym offers).

It's bullshit misinformation like that and the self proclaimed experts selling it that make me sad to even admit that I work as a health care provider. I'm not sure what your goals are but a good place to start would be a basic textbook on exercise physiology that includes reliable information on how the human body responds to both aerobic and strength training... this will give you a good foundation w/ which to build an exercise program on in order to work toward you fitness goals. cheers, BA

You'd be better off getting your exercise advice from the proles at Yahoo! answers. There are some decent books on conditioning at the library.
