Hi,

I've just moved to Vienna (Austria) from Perth, Australia and am searching for a climbing partner for both indoors and outdoors. I have a car and my own gear - though limited protection.

I dont yet speak German so well but I am learning :)

Anyone interested, please let me know.

Cheers,
Reagen

Hi,

so you move from winter into winter.
But okay, we still have moderate temperatures here in Austria. I can introduce you to Vienna's climber's favourite playground, the Peilstein. It's about 30 kilometers to drive to the southwest of Vienna, it has plenty of different sectors and a $hitload of routes.

I have lots of stress right now because I'm moving too (though just to another district of Vienna). Timewise it would be fine next weekend, the 2nd or 3rd. I'm 25 but not very advanced yet. Just trying to get my first UIAA-7 climbed (about 5.10c or 6b on other scales).
But if you are way better performing we could still go and stick to 1 rope-length.

Cheers

Are either of you still in that area? I will be in and out of Germany a lot and already posted about looking for a climbing partner. Let me know. Thanks!

I'll be moving back the Wien the end of May.... I'd love to get in on this climbing partner magic....! My name is Aubrey, I have a couch surfing profile if you want more "get to know you jazz".... love to climb and want to find new places in Wien since I didn't really like any of the indoor climbing I found the last time I was there.... Am learning German, but still have a ways to go. Let me know if you guys are still in the area!
Cheers

I'll be in Wien by the end of May.... I'll send you email when I get there... My email is: marmotrangler@hotmail.com

What is your experience leveL? What gear do you have? How long have you been and will you be there? etc etc...

I've been climbing for a few years... can lead 5/10 indoors... don't know how to lead outside but definatly want to learn. But lets certainly meet for a pint and see what we can do.

Cheers,
Aubrey

Hello Aubrey;

I am living here in Vienna. I was climbing before a lot, now getting back to it.
Before leading 5.10 (US) in/out doors. Now probably 5.9 is fine.

I have a rope, some cams, my equiptment, quickdraws, that's about it.
I learned outdoors and like it a lot, better that indoors, but indoors is good to practice.

Let me know when you are here, I'll send you an email so you have mine.

Cheers.
ORlando.
