Not sure if there will be too much interest in this or not but I'm proposing that we put together a nice sized meeting in Moab sometime in April of 03 any takers? Just think: Desert Towers, Sandstone Boulders, Indian Creek Splitters, the usual rc.com nonsense and much, much more. woodsE *edit* IT'S OFFICIAL!!!! As you can see, I am ALWAYS there for my Moab. Late April I can't get time off work but if it's earlier in the month then HELL YES!! Any excuse to get back there. Also, anyone up for some winter wanderings/climbing in and around Moab around the start of December? I've gotta get back to my red rocks and sandstone soon.

I think we'd definitely get a group site at Big Bend as long as we get enough people interested in this. This could be THE rc.com meeting.... ATG- I'm up for tackling Ancient Arts, been looking at it for awhile, have you done it? (I know, I know, stupid question!)

Never climbed out there before but the pictures of the rock remind me of perfectly HUGE pieces of fudge. I may have to breeze through there over Thanksgiving. Can't wait!

yes, i've done ancient art. its actually well protected and easy - kinda unusual for the fisher towers. it goes at 5.8 if you are willing to pull on bolts, and the chimney pitch takes excellent gear. i was thinking more along the lines of the titan or echo tower. i already took one sport weenie(clymbr_chk) up the kingfisher without it terrifying her too badly, so i need to up the ante

Probably in. I really want to get out to IC, but Zion is calling too. I guess I could just get my aid fix in the Fishers since it was snowing like hell last time I was there. TRADitionally yours, Cali Dirtbag

Probably? What's that crap about?? If you can avoid climbing at Josh with me to drive your a$$ to Red Rocks while I'm in Cali .. you can find a way to get yourself and your woman to the desert while I'm there. Climbers and Dirtbags unite !

Hey AMBER, I did say I could "get my aid fix in the Fishers " didn't I?? The woman thinks very low of aid climbing, and would rather perform cunnilingus on a menstruating skunk than jug a line. So it will probably be me and a buddy that I might do the Nose with next year (so let's try for round 2 on the Nose). If you can get yer Cowboy Boots off for 4 days, maybe you could come up and teach me how it is to aid in the Fishers. I love how Andrew so eloquently describes you leading the first pitch of the King Fisher not in the least bit scared because you didn't know that "bad bolts" actually exist:) TRADitionally yours, Cali Dirtbag

What he meant, Amber, is that you were ballsy for leading on that crap that he would have been a bit scared on. In no way did he mean that you weren't hardcore. TRADitionally yours, Cali Dirtbab
