I just got my misty mountain magnum, and it's awesome. but my only compliant is the plastic buckles. I want to convert it to metal buckles, so this thing becomes bomb proof. It's the only flaw i see in it. So any suggestions on how to convert it?? thanks Eric

just get 2 (big) keyrings, thread them through the weebing (where the female-buckle-part is) and use them like on the strap-on crampons easy, cheap and it'll work well

I actually make and sell pads with key rings as buckles... they work great.

Buy the buckles online then go to anyplace that does alterations on cloting and have them machine stitch them in.

You can buy metal buckles from metolius. They are pretty bombproof unless you try to stuff to much stuff in your pad then they start to loosen up over a period of time. Your gear shop probably sells them. don't stop the scream
