Their first issue is going to be on "Hot chks that climb" "climbing pick up lines" "Top 10 dudes that climb"... Sounds supa cool to me! And its only like 12.99 a year - 22.00 for international. You can check it out at www.vbouldering.com I so reccomend it.

I was gonna say, 'hot chicks that climb' and 'hot guys that climb' sounds kinda lame. What about actual climbing? Sounds like a cheap hook to me. Probably going to be pretty fluffy and glossy and concentrate on about 5 or 6 different boulderers and what they had for breakfast yesterday. An all bouldering mag has some serious potential but they're all about cash and getting people to buy their mag, therefor content goes out the window.

Maybe we should make one fiend. It would be awesome and every issue we would give a chance to the climbers on this site to be in it with their bio and all that. If they have contibuted good routes and areas. Go on a tour across the us looking for new spots and all that crap I could be the photographer.

The article "Scrotum Bags" say's that the future magizines are going to contain beta, and sequence shots of classic problems of all grades! It sounds like it might be cool, I thought the primere mag was good but I hope future one's are better.

I think a climbing magazine should be about climbing. Not about fashion, boys/girls, or top 10 ways to pick up a climber. What about the goods - stuff that will aid in making you a better climber or a mag that will give you some good info

Vbouldering has a bunch of extra stuff, but the issues also have a lot of helpful stuff too, the reason the extra stuff is in there is to get a bunch of suscribers before they go out of business, startin mags isnt easy. but i think the first issue has some helpful stuff like a section on "how to climb like a girl", like improving your tech and stuff

I'm with fiend, definitely. It sounds like another cheaply made and written mag just out for some bucks. "Hot chicks that climb"? I'm not female, but If I were, i might be a little turned off by that one. "Hot guys that climb"? No thanks, I'll stick to the classics: Climbing and Rock & Ice. AW

The first one, or at least the on e I got was a freebie, It looked good, had potential, was real small tho. I'll wait an issue or two to see if it's worth any money. Sites, beta and technique tips would make it worthwhile. As much as I like climbing chicks, it's not the reason I'm going to buy a mag.

I saw the demo issue as well (come to think of it it is still on my coffee table) and it was decent. If it does what it claim it will and not just focus on a few people's 'cends (like that Vic Copeland guy), it should be good. I signed up for a couple of years. If it turns out to suck, I'll be out about $20. Not the end of the world.

I didn't see any female boulderers in this issue. The only female references were for the names of problems so you could say: "I did ______________" when you solved the problem -Bryan

I don't think I would waste any $ on a mag that contained tips for referring to sexual comments. If it had USEFUL INFORMATION I would definately read it; who doesn't want tips?

I wasn't impresesed with the premier issue either. However, the idea of an all bouldering mag is brilliant. This market is growing so rapidly and is virtually untapped. I know too many boulderers that spend loads of money of Rock & Ice and Climbing just for the short bouldering sections and never even bother with the rest of the mag. These guys had very little start up money to do this, yet have had a lot of support from the sponsered climbing community. Their writers and editors are the first wave of a long string I'm sure will be quick to jump on this bandwagon, making it a better magazine. Content will depend on you, who writes in and lets them know what you like and don't like, what offends, and what you feel is just completely irrelevent. It is just a newborn fledgling now. Give it time to grow and it will fly.
